The door shudders hard at one point in its travel. You can see a gap between the roller and the track, or a visible kink in the metal.
Sometimes the vertical track has pulled away from the wall framing.
Backing into the door is the most common cause.
After that it is a door coming off its track, loose lag bolts letting the track shift over time, or an impact from something stored in the garage.
Minor misalignment can often be realigned and re-secured. A track with a hard kink or crease in it needs replacing, because a bent track will keep throwing the door off no matter how well it is adjusted.
